How to remove inner tie rod...? 200 1983

I am currently repairing the right front suspension in my my 83' 242Ti and I can't figure out how to remove the inner tie rod where it connects to the steering rack. My control arm was severely bent, which I have removed, but the tie rod is also bent so it needs to be replaced. My haynes book only shows how to replace the tie rod end.
