srs---air bag replacement problems.. 200 1990

my srs / airbag was energized in a slight front in crash, I eliminated the 'spent-bag', drove the car for some time. bought a used bag and clock-spring. once installed the dash srs lite won't go out......... THE QUESTION, american auto-makers use a airbag 'simulator' to diagnose the circuitry, to allow the installer / technician to 'confirm' the integrity of the srs / airbag circuitry before the 'new' bag is installed, DOES ANYONE IN BRICKLAND KNOW THE 'OHM VALUE' OF THE AIRBAG USED IN THE 1990 VOLVO 240? a resistor placed in place of the airbag will allow the crash sensor to 'do' the diagnostics once the ignition key is turned to the 'on position' HELP PLEASE!
