Convince me on synthetic...

A true testimony to your car maintenance ability and Volvo 240 heartiness. 1981 with a B23? Where do you live?

I would do a pro's and con's list. If you want to extend your oil change interval to 10,000 miles, there really are no con's to good synthetic. Plus you get all the benefits of easier cold starts, lower engine temps, longer engine life, slightly better mileage and better performance, longer seal life and less wear than you have now and I really think a big plus: less waste oil and less time waiting for the oil to drain......;-P
