Couldn't Resist 1800 1971

Get the manuals--Haynes and others for this car. Particularly the Bosch Fuel Injection manual (assuming it still has the FI). Carefully put it up on jack stands and thoroughly look at the underside. There are many rust catching areas there. You want to make sure that the bottom isn't about to fall out.

Check the transmission for oil--it uses 30W--not heavy gear oil. This may be the source of your shifting problem.

Subscribe to the 1800list on yahoo groups. A wealth of information from knowledgable people.

Contact Foreign Autotech and Don T.--you'll be ordering parts from them soon.

It's a great car. You'll love it.
