240 Diesel Head Gasket Replacementt 200 1982

I ordered a new head gasket from one of the online sources for my 1982 240 D24 Volvo diesel. I was sent a Victor Reinz gasket. Everything matches the old gasket except there are small water port holes on both sides in the V of the cylinders in the cylinder head. The old gasket used used the warm side holes only. The new gasket uses the opposite holes for cooling. We would like to make sure this will not be a problem and that it makes no difference which set of ports are used. This is rather hard to discribe verbally, any help would be greatly appreciated. If a photo would help please let me know.
