Anyone buy a new 'aftermarket' fuel pump relay lately? Apparently NOT me!

Until last week. Nothing against FC Groton. The sucker got here in notime. Webcatalog sez: Brand? "Made in Germany".... Hard to tell were this $25 piece of shit is made. Flux and overheated solder joints all over the PCBA.

Plugged it in and the car ('85 245Ti) does run like a raped ape (I swear it DOES run better)

Unplugged it and at least cleaned the flux off the board.

I have the original FPR, the unit I bought in 1998 and this one. They are all different board and component layout to do the same thing. Typical.

Hasn't rained here in a week, sunny with cold nights so I decided to wash the car and spray water all over the front and firewall with force. No leaks.

See my next post on big gauge wire to the FP.
