Rear Axle Ratio Change 140-160 1970

I would like to swap out the 4.10 ratio gears in my 144 with 3.73 gears. My question is, does anyone out there sell a "Gear Kit" or these specific ratios? I know Volvo used to offer this, but my dealer said they don't sell them anymore. Has anyone actually made the swap or can speculate how difficult it is to do? Would it be better just to swap out the entire rear axle?
