Huh? idle jump, cold stumble, occasional idle stall... 200 1986

Hey all,

As always, I trolled around the other questions to see what I could find to apply to my problem - and I've learned some stuff, but still confused...so here goes:
86' 245 with 4spd OD, 268K. New fuel pumps + filter, plugs, plug wires are good, replaced idle air valve and FPR with assumed good from junkyard (both were bad). Run techron additive through on occasion, gas mileage 26-28hwy, passed smog recently...
And....it stumbles a little when cold, then not when hot. Recently it's taken to occasionally revving to 2-2500 from a sitting idle - usually upon reaching a stoplight - just like if you tapped the gas really quick. I'd note that it seems to drop idle first, then react in this way. My wife said that it flat out stalled while idling at a light this AM. The car is responsive, plenty of that 240' power (within reason ;) ) and all my fuses are clean and shiny - including the main FI fuse+ new fuseholder. Is this a potential wiring harness mystery? Another mechanic's exploratory goldmine? Yikes!
Thanks for your ideas! ---
Jason
