Another Cold Starter - My First Problem. 700 1987

I had a squeaky HVAC fan so I thought I would remove it and oil it up. To do that, I had to remove the ECU and the ECU's 'frame' that it sits in. To do that I had to unplug the ECU.

Fixed the fan - works great. Anyway, the next day I went to start the car and it idled for about 5 secs and died. Did this again twice. Then it took a continuous 30 second crank to get it going.

Before the fan episode, the car idled like a champ in the freezing cold. Now I have to sit in it and hold it at 1500RPM until it warms up some.

I have checked the plug to the ECU and it does not appear to be damaged. Could that be the culprit?

Other than this, the car runs like a dream.

Thanks
