Changing trans. fluid at home 900 1994

I am changing my trans fluid over to Amsoil and just wanted to confirm this procedure.

I heard that you can hook up two lines to the trans lines at the radiator, then collect the old oil from one and the other should just suck up the new oil from the Amsoil container. Does this sound right?

I just switched all fluids in my '85 Corvette and '94 940 turbo to Amsoil (engine, trans, and rear) with one to go, being the Volvo's tranny fluid.

Just on a side note, I am running Amsoil 10w30 for the winter, but just bought a case of Royal Purple 15w40 for the spring/summer. Can't wait to try that new stuff! It was $51 a case which is pretty close to Mobile 1. From what I'm hearing it is way better oil than Mobile 1, and cheaper than Amsoil.

Cheers!
