Help me get my MCC Control Unit out! 700 1992

I'm starting to feel stupid now. I've been troubleshooting my A/C problem tonight and I think that it is a problem with the control unit. I've got the radio out and the black plastic off the front of the MCC Control Unit. I unscrewed it but now I can't figure out how to wiggle this thing free. There's two metal tabs on the bottom on either side of the unit that screws were in but I cannot lift the unit over these because the dash is in the way. Somebody lead me in the right direction please.
