I don't make these things up: 700

VCNA issued a service bulletin in late 1990 to it's dealers that says the requirement for routine inspection of the AT filter (as a routine service interval) is "deleted".

Fluid change interval is as listed; simply the need to drop the pan and exchange the filter has been eliminated.

The North American bulletin supersedes the maintenance otherwise listed. It is said that the transmission filter should be inspected only at transmission diagnosis and repair.

That's straight from the horse's mouth. Make of it what you want.
