Window regulator question 700 1992

Don:

Yes, you can replace just the regulator. If you choose to go this route, I am pretty certain that you will have to purchase the regulator only from Volvo. I an not aware of a company that sells just a aftermarket regulator. Most aftermakret companies offer the electric motor and regulator together. This is how I did mine. You might want to research the availability of an aftermarket regulator only to be absolutely certain.

Also, if you replace the regulator only, take picture of the regulator and motor once it is out of the window and before you take the motor off the regulator. It could be tricky to get back on in the proper position without something to refrenece back to.

Hope this helps and good luck.
