ATF level when cold? 700 1986

I was checking over some things on my 765Ti that has been sitting for a while waiting for me to get around to doing a brake job on it and I noticed that my ATF level cold and not running is a few inches above the top of the plastic piece on the dipstick. I something wrong here, or can I simply not tell anything about the level in this condition? Just wondering, because it is getting about radiator time (a bit of seepage at the top of one end tank) and I thought it might have opened up between the ATF cooler in the radiator and the coolant area of the radiator. Any thoughts? Thanks.
