I have just acquired my first Volvo - a 1993 240 wagon.Odometer reads 123,000. When stopping the brake pedal seems to fade as if there is air in the system and requires one pump to give it a firm feeling.

Would appreciate advice on the possible problem areas. ABS light does cut out immediately on starting. I plan to do my own maintenance. This is my first experience with a Volvo.
