Running problems part 2 200 1979

Hi,

Nick here with the $45 244,

The car runs great at idle and high idle, and even in the 1500-2500 RPM range. But still strains above that. So basically, good low power, bad high power.

I checked the timing marks on the crankshaft, distributor and camshaft sprokets, that was perfect. I put in some other spark plugs. I check the spark plug wires, they work great. Everything works fine to my knowledge.

So then why does it have good lower end power, and not much higher end power, like above 3000 RPM?

Could the fuel relay setup be the cause? My Hayes manual says that the main fuel system relay and the fuel pump relay run a bunch of stuff in the fuel injection system.

Could not having good wiring or non working relays make the fuel injection system not work to where it doesn't have much power at higher engine speeds?
