Fast Idle- Help 200 1985

Well, as some of you may know, I just changed my heater hoses. From the time I got done with that project, the car has idled about 250 rpm too fast. When its cold, it idles at 1250, warm at 1000. I looked for vaccuum lines astray but didn't find any. The thing I find odd is that the idle does not kick up when the a/c is turned on. (like up 250 to 1250) Rather it just comes on and the engine drops to about 900 rpm. There is some sort of set screw on the underside of the throttle body and I may have hit working on it. I fiddled with it a little and no change was made. What is that for? Other these things, what else should I do? Thanks
