Don't worry so much. Contary to 'popular' belief/price, Volvo is NOT a luxury car! 200 1993

OK after your previous message I thought your "friend" got to you with the loud car stuff....or the "I thought Volvo's are supposed to be quiet" garbage was bugging you.

Other than the hood thing, get some floor sound deadening materials - choices vary from junkyard goodies to Jacque Whipme space age stuff to expensive stuff.

I use two layers of the JC Whitney stuff with some heavy dense rubber sheeting between the layers - all under the carpet. Sure the floor is quiet but between the enlarged exhaust with Flowmaster and dying input bearing noise in the M46 my car is just loud. Doesn't bug me either!
