1998 940 alarm module 900 1998

I have a problem with the alarm system on my wifes 940 station wagon.it would appear that the siren module under the front wing (fender) is not working.
All other indications operate ie the hazard lights flash and the car will not start.On the wiring diagram that I have TP3908032 it does not show the siren module, only the plug (D4)I have tried my local volvo agent whilst normally quite helpful, does not seem to give me the information I require,I belive there is a TP for the actual alarm,does anyone have any ideas.as I would like to fix this problem myself.
