engine will stop when I try to shift from parking to Revers 700 1991

My 91' 740(auto, nonturbo) just got a lot of problem lately,
it jerks when climbing hills, it jerks whenever I shift the transmisstion from
Parking to Reverse the first time of ever day. Now it seems has another problem,
if after starting the car(warm start) if I want to reverse it, the engine will stop. even when I park it there with he engine on, its idle is not stable,
and eventually it will die.
now I am thinking how to move the car out of the parking lot to get home.
I changed a lot of parts in past 10 months, the timing belt, radiator, the
thermostat, the radiator hoses. A lot of people tell me to check the vacum leak,
but I really do not know how to check it.
I am asking for your help.

Thanks
