Engine Inlet Work 200 1984

Brickboarders,
I have decided to do some work on my inlet side on my 240GL 1986 wagon. I have 186000KMS (Australian car) I have the usual problems:
Degrading wiring harness to injectors rotten insulation, decided to replace the insulation tape with new wire sections.
Unknown state of flame trap and hoses, should give it a clean (don't know if it has ever been done)
Engine runs a little rough at idle, often have to crank hard to warm start, sometimes hesitant when cold start.
Possible dirty injectors, never been touched?? will buy new seals and take them somewhere to be cleaned.
Any other suggestions for work to be done at this time? I will probably pull the manifold to make life easier (flametrap acess), do I need new manifold gasket?
Thanks for any suggestions
Karl
