hose to nowhere 200 1985

I just bought a 1985 245 project car. I have had many volvo's, but never a turbo. There is a rubber hose that goes from the inlet air pipe on the downstream side of the intercooler, across the top of the radiator/fan shroud to the passenger side of the engine compartment and then disappears down by the shock tower/fender well. The previous owner stuck a bolt in the end to keep it from sucking air. Does anyone know where this hose should go?thanks
