Are you sure it's not a 1-2-3?

That would be more likely. I'm not familiar with the 1-2-2, so I looked it up and couldn't find it directly. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong manual, but a coolant temp sensor fault would be more likely.

As far as power steering fluid goes, nine out of ten cars I see in the shop have PS fluid instead of ATF in the steering racks. Often changing out old rotten PS fluid with ATF stops rack leaks. I've done it for a few people.
