Ignition Lock Replacement - how you you remove/replace it? 140-160

The ignition lock/switch has gone bad on my 1970 144. I knew it was on it;s way out, the key was difficult to turn, getting worse, then one day the key froze in the ignition and wouldn't come out. After several attempts to jiggle it loose, the key broke off in the lock.

The good news is, I have a parts car with a perfectly good ignition lock/switch, the bad news is that I can't figure out how to remove it without disassembling the entire steering column and wheel to swap them. Is there a trick to getting the lock shaft out or does that entire silver assembly it sits in, that appears pressed on around the steering column, come with it?

At least I was able to remove the switch on the other end easily (now I can use a screw driver to turn the electrical switch to start the car).
