V8 in a 142: Please HELP! 140-160

Hi all!

i have the opportunity to pick up a straight running 1972 142 from a friend for about 2 or 300 bucks. i want to pick up the car as a cheap project so i can take it down to the strip. is it at all possible to do a V8 swap? i don't really car about streetability, and smog isnt a concern since its pre 73, so most likely i'll be putting in a 350 with a turbo 350 or 400. has anyone ever heard of such a swap? is it at all similar to dropping a V8 in a 200 series??

if i cant pull of the v8, then i'll try for a b21ft or b230ft and make it into an auto-xer. although the v8 would have a lot more shits and giggles factor!

thanks in advance.
