New Car New Member 1800 1971

Hi to all on the group,
I recently bought a P-1800 for my girlfriend Judi, and need any information on the car that the group can provide.
This is what I know,
It is a 71 P-1800
4 Cyl Bosch (looks to be jetronic) Fuel Injection
Car, less then 100 miles after purchasing Suffered a Catastropic Engine Failure.
This after the PO's mechanic told me he was doing rings and valve guides on the engine, Left a deposit on the car, picked up 3 weeks later and the next day, DEAD ON THE FREEWAY (57 SB for you in SoCal)
Engine turns over, No Rotor rotation (gear looks to be good)
Question One, is this a gear driven cam or a chain? (I've seen mention of timing gears failing, Is this it??)
Question Two, How available are parts? (online or off) Sites?
Question Three, What type of motor does this have? (I've seen mention of B18 & B20)
Hope my court suit doesn't end up with me not keeping the car.
