Another way-non-destructive testing 700 1990

The infamous "Midnight Test". I learned of this from one of the more, well, let's just say he's here a lot...Take the car to the darkest place you can find, and let it run with the hood open. If there is a weak point in the insultion on your wires, you will see the voltage seeping out.

Another thing to check. Years back I went to an electrical school put on by Blue Streak. Red dust inside the distributor cap indicates bad wires or plugs. The dust is caused by arcing.

If you find one thing, change it all anyway. It's cheap and won't hurt.
