lowering a 245 200 1981

Hi matt

When lowering a car always use proper lowered springs. On 245s volvo used harder and slight taller springs in the rear of 245s only so when ordering new spring get 245 spring. In your case use new lowered spring in the rear not second hand springs from a wrecking yard as second hand springs will be soft and will sag more. See if you can find some inspring air bag for towing (eg poly air bags we have them in Australia) to retain the lowered ride hight when towing

Best of luck

George
