I have found that Metra makes an adapter for the 88+ (I think) 700 series... they just don't know it.... I saw the picture in the book, ordered it, and it worked! I have a 89 740GLE 16v, it's a metra part number 70-1120 ... you should be able to order it from a local autozone store (or crutchfield?) ... the part is actually listed for a 240... one plugs into the factory plug behind the radio, one plugs into the factory plug that plugs into the amp
