Thanks - My short trips are usually no less than 6 miles and I am a devout practitioner of the 'Abe Crombie Tune-up'. I think you might be correct that it's water vapor. The ambient temperature/relative humidity/dewpoint must have all aligned for a few days there to make it look alot worse than I remembered.
