exhaust side hose fitting? 700

I was investigating the exhaust side of my B230FT engine and came across a curious looking hose fitting mounted about 6 to 8 inches below the fourth spark plug.
It appears to be made out of copper and have a hole in the end. It has ringed barbs for what I suspect is a hose. It is not a turbo oil hose, or a coolant line , I think?
I have found this fitting on turbo and non-turbo b230 engines.

I'm just hunting for it's purpose and what it should be attached to.

P.S. it seems to be at the end of the block next to the transmission bellhousing (manual transmission) if that also helps
