Almost didnt make it home now car dont start update, NOW HAVE NEW PROBLEM!!! 700 1989

In my past 2 posts, first car almost didnt make it home, next day car didnt start at all, now thanks to all who responded to those posts,I got the car to run BUT... after replacing the spark plugs, dist cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, both temp sending switches in the head, I also cleaned the throttle body & IAC valve to functioning & like new condition. The car now runs much better than it ever did, but either idles about 500rpms in park, or if I hit the accelerator pedal, the idle will go up to 1500rpms,and surge between 1900 rpms until I hit the pedal again. While it was doing this I unplugged the AMM, and the idle dropped down to around 500rpms, but didnt stall out.Is my AMM bad?? Dont want to replace it if I dont have to. Things are starting to add up. Could it be the TPS?? All vacuum hoses are good. I thank you all very much for all your help so far. The car has come a long way thanks to all the info I have gotten from the faq page, and from all who have helped by answering the past podts. As usual any help would be greatly appreciated..

1000 thanks...
