From my readings at Brickboard, the shocks and strut inserts of choice are Boge, not KYB. Boge comes in these flavors, OEM (softest), Turbo-Gas (firm, the favorite at Brickboard as fas as I can tell) and Turbo-Pro (firmest, too hard at the limit by all accounts I have read at Brickboard). Check www.ipdusa.com because they probably know more about Volvo suspension than any other parts supplier. One problem with Boge Turbo Gas is that they now come from Mexico and do not look well made. Nonetheless, you can get a Sachs gas strut insert made in Germany from www.fcpgroton.com Likely, this is the same as Boge Turbo Gas made in Germany because the company is Sachs/Boge. Those who want the sportiest suspension regardless of comfort, often favor Bilstein shocks. Check tha above suppliers and www.shox.com
