ignition 140-160

Once again thanks for the input. The plan right now is a new cap and rotor...Volvo dealership was fastest to get it here, should be in Wednesday. I think I'm also going to replace the coil wire as I measured 31K ohms of resistance. It's the same age as all the other wires, 6mos., but my book says it should have 15k ohms of resistance!!!! I plan to try each component one at a time to see which is giving the grief. I sure miss driving this car...two weeks now, had to go back to "old trusty", my 1973 Landrover. more later. I keep meaning to ask about the "green book" everyone talks about. Is that something from the dealer? Is it useful for the 164?
Cheers
