Volvo tow Volvo 900 1994

I went to uhaul today and they told me that my 94 940 turbo wagon is only 100pounds heavyer than my 85 760 turbo sedan. I am planning on towing the 760 with the 940 from NJ to NC, however they woulnd't allow this, so now I am towing a "del sol". Does anyone think it would be a major problem "if" I decided to tow the 760 down while I am up there. I have new front pads and rotors on the 940 and am planning on changing the tranny fluid today. Also does anyone have any towing tips? Will I need to stop to let the tranny cool down, and should I travel night or day? I posted a similar message not to long ago in the 940 fourm, however I felt the need to double check. I was told the 940 could pull 3300 pounds but once again uhaul said it can only pull 2300. Is there any other equiptment that is recomended for towing other than the tow dolly(650 pounds)?
thank you
Eamonn Higgins
