Help Identifying Replacement 240 Engine 200

Thanks Bob.... Sounds like that is probably the engine. What fuel system did your 245 have? This one has the Bosh K-Jetronic continuous injection with the Constant Idle Speed system (CIS). The B21 F9 was the basic B21 engine with the Bosh K-Jetronic and Chrysler Ignition. The B21 F9 also had the flame trap/box located as you described for the B23. I've had my 82 for 20 years and have played "chipmunk" a number of times making sure it stayed clear. We believe the fuel and intake system from his original B21 F9 engine was used on this block. One problem was that the microswitch was left off the CIS. His current problem is that it won't run for more that a minute and we are trying to sort out the problem. Thanks for the info!
