electric fan woes continue

Hello,
I am not sure what is causing this but here it goes:
When at idle (parked) the electric fan engages then the engine stumbles slightly and the oil pressure light flashes (DAMN FRAMM filter) for a second. I will be replacing the blindly installed (a weak moment I agree) Framm with a Mann tomorrow just in case it is the filter. There is plently of oil in the car what would cause the oil light to flash like that. Any time I see that light I almost sh#t my pants.
Thanks in advance
