electric fan woes continue

I think that the alternator is in differnt places on different modles of Volvos. Is the oil pressure sensor on the passenger side of the block. On my 760 it is behind the power steering pump and on my 240 it is behind the alternator but all on the passenger side of the block sort of near the water pump. I was thinking that it might be the oil pressure send and I am about the change it to adapt for a oil pressure gauge that I need to install, as soon as I find the time and acquire a free 1980 242 for a spare vehicle.
