electric fan woes continue

As Wongg says quite clearly, your problem is the engine stumble which almost stops the engine and causes probably less than 5lbs or so of oil pressure which trips the oil warning light as it should. Your engine is in no danger in this transient situation. The oil pump design is such that at very low engine speed it creates very low pressure, which is acceptable.

This may cause a bit of a furor on the board, and it really shouldn't because all views should be appreciated, but I have to say this; I believe your criticism of Fram oil filters is unfortunately based wholly on marketing misinformation created by their competitors. It is much easier to tout the advantages of some other filter brand for whatever reason, usually greed, but that in itself is bogus without some real scientific evidence, and the evidence available has no real credibility. The discussions about synthetic oils of different compositions also lead to the same marketing strategy, which in my humble opinion is also bogus.

I have never hesitated to use a Fram filter or Mobil 1 synthetic oil.
