1990 760 turbo w/IRS, any exhaust 700

I've seen at least one post indicating that the most restriction, if you wanna' call it that, occurs right after the turbo, because the exhaust gas is hottest and therefore exerts more pressure per given volume. The gas cools as it travels through the exhaust pipe and the pressure is reduced. If this seems reasonable (and I'm not completely convinced), it may be that the most gain is had by applying the 3" turbo-to-cat section. If it is more difficult to fabricate the 3" cat-to-tailpipe section on an IRS 760, maybe we could leave that section alone, close our eyes and hope for the best. Let me emphasize that the preceeding is more a question than a suggestion.
