Blower fan makes a rattling noise......then fuse went. 700 1988

My blower fan makes a rattling noise......as if something is stuck in it. It's a different noise than the sqeaking noise that is typically found when the motor or bearings are on thier way out. I think something is hitting the fan because a fuse blew probably due to the fan being jammed.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I will probably have to take a closer look. I am hesitant because I've never taken the dash/glove box apart. Do I require a manual for such a task?

Thank you in advance.
