Leaking New Water Pump - one more opinion 200 1992

Guess I'd expect the most general of service facilities to be able to handle a water pump replacement on any car, but say the tech does know what the slots are for, there are still two more opportunities for trouble. (my opinion)

1) Aftermarket pumps sometimes have very rough casting finishes where the donut seal goes, and,

2) The surface of the head mating with that seal is prone to deep pitting.

Good luck, it sounds like they are willing to make you happy to return.
