'97 960 R. turn signal problems 900 1997

The following just occured in my wife's '97 960 sedan:
With headlights off and Right turn signal engaged everything flashes at all four corners, even the license plate lights. Engage the left turn signal and everything operates as normal.

With the headlights ON and right turn signal engaged the bulbs are burning bright, but no flashing occurs. Engage the left turn signal and the left side operates as normal, but the right signal bulbs remain bright, although not flashing.

With the headlights off the hazard flashers work as normal. Turn headlights on and the bulbs light up but do not flash.

On an American made car I would normally suspect the flasher canister, but I can find no such animal listed anywhere for this car.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
