Re-locate Fuel Tank 122S 120-130

Hi, Because I use my 122S now daily. I'm a bit concerned about the fuel tank location. For today's safety standards the 122S Fuel tank and the filler are not in a very safe position when the car is hit from behind. Has any of you installed a new fuel tank in a safer location, for instance higher in the boot over the rear axle ? There would be disadvantages in doing so because it will raise the centre of gravity and may effect the roadholding. I was thinking about the works rally cars that had the filler in the C pillar.

I'm looking forward to any feedback.
