Idle Air Control Valve 700 1988

HI: Thanks for the fast reply. What lead me me to changing it out is the idle speed when cold would not increase or decrease the idle speed intill I tapped on it with my pocket knife then the idle would increase to around 1150 or so and as the engine warmed up and as I would come to a stop sign or red light the idle speed would gradually drop , and when the engine was fully warmed up it would run a nice smooth 750rpm. So The IACV is hanging up and is worn out. Thanks for your help, Dan Metz.
