Hello everyone,
I have run into an intresting problem with my 1992 940 Turbo Wagon. Today it was very hard to start, infact it would not start for several tries untill i floored it. When it did finally catch, it had an extreemely rough idle and refused to hold it. I finally worked the courage to put it in gear and took it about halfway around the block. Whenever starting from a stop it is very reluctant to go, it makes a type of shaking when first accelerating. The turbo will not engage (the boost gauge gets into the white) or will engage a little and the shaking starts again and the engine wants to die. I poped the hood and found a line from right below the throttle body (the line attaches to the intake manifold) had broken off at the temp sensor (well, i think it is) I reattached it and that seemed to work about half way down the block where it started again. I have recently had the air mass sensor replaced and the car did exhibit similar problems befor replacement.
Perhaps the line is too short now and is constricting airflow? Or cracked?
Well, if you have any suggestions, they are much appriciated.
TIA,
Taylor Jones
