real left tail lights do not work once per month 700 1991

About once a month, my two left tail lights do not come on when I turn on the headlights or parking lights. The bulb out indicator on the panel comes on when this happens. All the other lights on the car work fine. If I drive the car for about 10 to 30 minutes, the problem goes away by itself every time.

This same problem occurs every 1 to 2 months when I have been driving in traffic for 30 to 60 minutes (and depressing the brake pedal often--of course). If I then drive the car on a highway for about 10 to 30 minutes, the problem goes away by itself.

I always drive with my headlights on and turn them on as soon as I start the car.

What do you think the problem is?--and how do I fix it?
