Shocks on an 87 760Ti 700 1987

Hey folks, I have a 1987 760Ti with the Nivomats in the rear. Suprise, suprise, they have failed. My car is always pointing the nose upwards, as the rear has suddenly decided to sit way down. My question is this, I have a 94 940T wagon that I have been using as a parts car. Could some of this rear sag be due to the springs as well as the shocks? If so, is it worth trying to get the springs off of the back of the 940 and swapping them in? I already have the nivomats out of the wagon, and it looks fairly easy to take out the springs. Thanks in advance,
Aaron

PS, new sway bars make all the difference in the world!
