Optima Battery mounting, McGard wheel locks, new Tires

Evening to all
hope everything is going well

I recently purchased an optima battery to replace the lead acid one I had in there. The optima is a bit smaller than the one it replaced, and such the stock Volvo mounting materials dont quite work. I bought some generic battery mounting items from a local store and they seem to be alright.

has anyone else purchased an Optima, and what have you used for mounting?

After removing the old battery I found a good amount of residual acid on the tray/acid absorbing mat. One of the mounting points on the top of the tray was pretty rusty/flaking already. This was in a short amount of time, so it might be a good idea to check that out if you have not recently to make sure.

McGard wheels locks, the guys where I got my new tires said they just tighten up the wheel locks. I am betting they need to be torqued like any other lug nut? thoughts, ideas or am I in left field?

The new tires are quite nice. Falken 205/60/15 $248 for the four.

There is still a bit of vibration @ 55mph but it is not near what it used to be. Wheels were checked and balanced appropriately. Should I be checking ball joints and the like. Also it would appear that after changing tires, the clunk that I had when turning the wheel lock to lock has left...

take care
