HELP!!!!! Back door wont open! 87-740GLE

I thought I had it fixed. It started when the door wouldnt open from the outside. I thought I fixed it(the plastic lever attached to the door handle was broken). Everything was working fine, then I drove around the block a few times to break in my new brake pads. When I got back the door wouldnt open, from the inside or the outside. I also applied the door lock.

Right now Im figuring that I will have to find myself a new door panel, because Im gonna have to tear this sucker up just to get the door to open.

I should have left the door panel off until I was certain everything was ok.

Any ideas?
